PASTOR, ELDER LUTHER C. WILSON
Bio for Pastor Luther Wilson:
Luther Charles Wilson is a San Francisco native, born to Cedric Wilson and Ruth Avist-Wilson. Having being from a family with a background in music, Luther took an interest in music. He began singing at the age of three in the Sunshine Band at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church where his great grandfather, the late Reverend Ivory Wilson was pastor. Eventually, he was able to play the drums, keyboard, organ and bass guitar by ear.
Luther’s interest and love for God grew as he began to perfect his musical gifts. At the age of fourteen, he began to pray and preach on
youth Sunday’s. From then on everyone knew he was destined to do great things through Christ. The Lord had something greater in store for Luther, leading him to join Sonlight Christian Center in Richmond California under Dr. C.E. Daggs, his pastor.
The Lord allowed Luther to serve as the head Minister of Music and choir director at Sonlight Christian Center. He also sang during Sunday Night Praise services with his musical mentor and prolific ministry leader, Minister Ezell Ealy. He served as Worship Leader for Morris Cerullo International Ministries and Pastor of Worship for Dr Rachel Graham Ministries. G od has shown favor to Luther and he has used his gifts to lift up the name of Jesus through song, musical instruments and preaching the Word of God. Through this, God has widened his territory and enabled him to meet many amazing people and to be a blessing.
On January 1, 2014 the Lord opened the door for Minister Luther to become the Assistant Pastor under the close tutelage of Bishop C.E. Daggs. At the same time, God ordained him to be an elder in the church.
In August 2017, God, through Bishop C.E. Daggs, elevated Minister Luther to the role of Senior Pastor of Sonlight Christian Center.
Luther has appeared on numerous radio shows, podcasts, television programs, performed weddings, and home-goings throughout the United States and abroad. He has been blessed with many opportunities being able to share the stage with Tonex, Dorinda Clark Cole, Mom and Pop Winans, Helen Stevens and the angelic voices of the Northern California Chapter of G.M.W.A. just to name a few.
He continues in his role as Senior Pastor of Sonlight Christian Center spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the whole world.
Luther’s favorite scripture is Romans 8:28: And we know that all things work together for the good of them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
